Musica, The Sofa Note

Introducing her family of notes, Monica Ritterband says: 'For me they are living individuals, and they simply dance into the very heart of a listener. Music is the direct path to the soul. My little crotchets and quavers all have their own personalities and eccentricities, and when I look at them they tell me who they are'. In contrast, a dance floor is the last place you would look for the Sofa Note, who prefers to snuggle deep into the cushions of the sofa with a bag of sweets to watch a good film.


The Little Mermaid

The artist Sven Vestergaard has created a series of figurines from some of Hans Christian Andersen's celebrated and much loved fairy tales. The fairy tales he has portrayed are The Little Mermaid, Jack the Dullard, The Swineherd, The Flying Trunk, Thumbelina and The Sandman. The style is cute and naivistic, and the small figurines will bring delight to any nursery where classic fairy tales are regularly read aloud. The figurines are hand-made.
